Implementation Specialist

I've taken a lot of twists and turns

1.
Was a "band geek" growing up - participated in every music program, & served as lead chair/mentor.
2.
Pursued private flute lessons/programs to prep for a career as a performance flutist.
3.
Majored in Psychology based on my interest in an AP class I took my senior year of high school.
4.
Senior year joined a faculty research project in Psychology, while pursuing an internship in HR.
5.
Realized neither was a good fit post-graduation.
6.
Joined the Student Conservation Association & did a year of service work to broaden my experiences.
7.
Ran a farmers market, amongst other projects, and realized I loved project management.
8.
Networked with friends and family to find an opportunity that fit my interests and experiences.

THE NOISE
Messages from Myself:
You're not focusing on a degree or building skills to support a specific career (lawyer/doctor/teacher) like everyone else, so you must be doing something wrong. How will you ever be successful?
How I responded:
I know my path was unconventional, but I am the kind of person who has to try everything to figure out what they like (or don't like). I didn't pursue an additional degree or land a job right after college like most of my friends did, so I felt like I was doing something wrong. But I have ultimately come out with richer experiences that make me so happy to be where I am today, and I don't think I could appreciate it as much if I didn't take the longer road to get here.
