My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
My career choice was interior design... I was an art/design major in both high school and college.
2.
My mom was in a horrific car crash, I was unable to finish school; began working in a retail store
3.
Unhappy with retail, at a career block I applied for a teller position; salary & benefits
4.
6 mos after being hired, mgr and abm were fired; I was asked to manage branch on an interim basis
5.
One year was promoted to abm position, manager avp, sr branch coordinator until the bank closed.
6.
Luckily was rehired, given the opportunity to work closely with vp of operations-25 miles from home
7.
Yet another bank took over- 2 miles from home. Currently hold the positon of a Sr. bank manager
8.
Enjoy my role as bank mgr, working with the public, mentoring my team and the challenge of the role.
Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Myself:
Due to the uncontrolled circumstance of my mom's health, I had no alternative but to discontinue school and care for my family.
How I responded:
I made a conscious decision to do my best, work hard, stay focused and motivated. It's important to care about the task you complete, be conscientious and determined to do well, take pride in your work, value the tasks at hand and be an advocate of your accomplishments.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I didnt allow life's challenges to stand in my way. I knew i was capable of doing anything I wanted and I was going to push through whatever came my way... Life is difficult and you can never shut down or give up! You can find a way...
