Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Parents:
You shouldn't pursue art or music. They're called starving artists for a reason.
How I responded:
I found a position that uses my skills and also supports the creative/artistic process and creative/artistic people. I pursue my creative passions in my free, non-professional time.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
Our family had limited means. I was always worried about our financial stability which motivated me to pursue business. I was able to find a middle ground between a creative lifestyle and financial stability.
