Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Peers:

"You haven't been properly trained," and "This is not working out." "You will not make it."

  • How I responded:

I became more determined to do my best. I did not want to be a failure. I wanted to prove my co-workers wrong and achieve success. I wanted to the best dispatcher I could be in order to help others. I desperately needed a job with insurance after being on sick leave for one year from my secretarial job at the same agency. I had to make this work! I asked all the questions I could to become better at my job. I also prayed for God's help and guidance. Most of all I never gave up!
