How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Why do you need to get a second degree? You'll already have one. Sounds like a waste of time and money.
How I responded:
I knew what goals I had set for myself and I focused on the support of others to remain focused on graduating with my master's degree.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I have always struggled with learning and understanding math independently due to hearing loss (math is often taught with back to student). I sought out tutoring with TRiO SSS and passed math! Recognize your weaknesses and then advocate for strength.
