Overview
Lucky you: your dentist probably has a computer system that reminds her when it’s time for your next appointment. And the public library has a different system that keeps track of when your books are due -- in fact, that system was probably tailored to the specific needs of your community.
If you major in computer systems analysis, you’ll learn how to customize computer systems so that they meet the needs of users. Although you’ll build a solid base of knowledge about the latest technology and study programming languages, you’ll also learn how to find out about user needs. After all, the fastest, most powerful computers in the world are no good if they don’t do the work that people need them to do.
